Teaching with the Archive

This academic year, the School will be making even better use of its extensive archive and private collections in teaching.

The programme seeks to give all boys an education in the rich heritage and history of the School, and to bring to life their learning through real-life, relevant examples. The Harrow School Archive contains material on Churchill, Trollope, Byron and other alumni, and the collections in the Old Speech Room Gallery include Greek and Roman antiquities, paintings by Gainsborough and Constable, and medieval manuscripts - all of which will be used with boys in their divisions over the coming year.
