Following Jesse Elzinga's appointment as Headmaster of Reading Blue Coat School, we are pleased to announce that Alastair Chirnside, formerly of Eton College, will be joining Harrow as Director of Studies from September 2016. Alastair studied Classics and French at Merton College, Oxford, graduating with a double first and a half Blue in lightweight rowing.  Before teaching, he worked as a fund manager for Schroders in London. He has been teaching Classics at Eton since 2004, where he also coached rowing for several years before becoming Head of the Fifth Form, Head of the Classics Department and most recently a House Master.
