International History Bee and Bowl

On Sunday 3 March, Harrow fielded a Senior and a Junior team in the London and South East heats of the International History Bee and Bowl, held at King’s College School, Wimbledon.

This is a global tournament, in which pupils from all over the world test their historical knowledge against each other, both in teams (‘the Bowl’) and as individuals (‘the Bee’).

Harrow's senior team reached the semi-finals of the Bowl, defeating a strong Eton team along the way, while the Juniors registered some impressive wins and only narrowly failed to qualify for their semi-final.

In the individual competition, Charles Paice (The Head Master's) and Henry Chia-Croft (Lyon's) reached the final in the senior division, and Paice was placed third. Playing up a division against competitors nearly three years older than him, Aum Amin (Elmfield) finished just outside the medals in fourth place in the junior section.
