A Harrovian joined the UK mathematical training team camp in Hungary over the Christmas holiday following his success in the British Mathematical Olympiad last term.

Sixteen boys sat the paper, with six earning certificates of merit and a further four certificates of distinction. Two boys were placed in the country's top 30, earning a silver and gold medal.

Last term 14 Sixth Form boys also took part in the British Physics Olympiad Round 1 competition. Six boys achieved Bronze awards, four achieved Silver awards, and three Gold, two of whom were placed in the 'Top Gold' category, putting them in the top 7% of students participating.
