Long Ducker Bike Ride

More than 100 riders took part in the annual Long Ducker Bike Ride, cycling 40, 70 or 100 miles around London and the Chilterns to raise funds to support vulnerable young people.

The event, which is open to the whole Harrow community, is part of the School's annual sporting fundraising event, which also includes a run or swim at a later date.

Last year, Long Ducker and the Long Ducker Bike Ride raised and disbursed nearly £250,000 in support of over 1,500 young people across Harrow and northwest London. It is hoped that even more will be raised for Young Harrow Foundation, the Harrow Club and other young people’s charities in 2021.

Head of Shaftesbury Enterprise, the School's charitable arm, Tim Dalton, said: "Next year, with Young Harrow Foundation and the Harrow Club, we are looking to do even more to help young people in our community. Together we are rising to one of the biggest challenges that has faced society in our lifetime and ensuring that the most vulnerable have the support that they need to thrive and fulfil their potential."
