Harrow School Orchestra and Choral Society performance
Harrow School Symphony Orchestra and Choral Society joined with the choirs of Francis Holland schools and local primary schools to present a magnificent performance of Mahler's Symphony No. 2.
Under the direction of Harrow School's Director of Music, David Woodcock, the 90-piece orchestra of professional musicians, Old Harrovians and boys gathered in Speech Room to support the choirs in a performance of a work that was astonishing in its scope, impact and power.
Known as the Resurrection Symphony, the work was first performed in 1895 and became one of Mahler's most popular compositions during his lifetime. See more on Instagram at harrow.school.
