The Harrow Rifle Corps welcomed Group Captain Jonathan TW Hough, Station Commander Royal Air Force Northolt and Regional Commander South East Stations for its biennial inspection.
Group Captain Hough awarded the Honourable Artillery Company Sword of Honour to Senior Under Officer F Williams and then inspected senior cadets on the War Memorial Forecourt.
Contingent Commander and Head Master Lt Col WMA Land and Major PS Lemoine toured Group Captain Hough around cadet activities including flight simulation, classroom lessons on the Principles of Flight and Royal Marine troop battle exercises on Rifle Range Field. Senior Cadets delivered lessons on army fieldcraft, Royal Naval field gun training took place on the Parade Ground and .22 live firing on the School 25m range.
The Inspecting Officer was impressed with the provision for Harrow Rifle Corps cadets and spoke passionately to the Contingent on the importance of service, the opportunities that are available in the cadet forces and the responsibility that young people have to be good citizens.
