From Oceania to outer space

A new exhibition in the Old Speech Room Gallery brings together a wealth of objects, artworks, maps and early printed volumes from around the world.

Entitled The Traveller: From Oceania to outer space – four thousand years of journeying and exploration it tells stories of distant lands and unfamiliar customs as well as accounts of pioneering expeditions.

Old Harrovians feature not only as travellers in their own right but also as donors of the historic artefacts in the display. The collections in the OSRG are both open for the public to view and used in the boys' studies of ancient history and art.

The gallery is open to the public between 2.30-5pm on the following days: 1, 2, 4 (2-4pm), 22 and 24 February; 21 and 22 March.
