Death of a Salesman

Members of Elmfield staged their House play in an unusual venue - the Vaughan Library.

The audience watched the performance of Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman, sitting around the stage. Widely considered to be one of the greatest plays of the 20th century, it is a powerful exploration of ambition, delusion and the cost of chasing an elusive ideal.

The Vaughan Library is over 150 years old and was designed in Victorian Gothic style by George Gilbert Scott, who also conceived St Pancras Station in London.
