A number of boys have been awarded certificates for their impressive performances in the Advanced stage paper of the UK Linguistics Olympiad.

The competition is for schools across the country where students are challenged to solve linguistic data problems.

Awards were made at Bronze level to Inigo Sanchez-Asiain and George Sage; at Silver level to Daniel Chang  and Richard Hayward; and at Gold level to Edos Herwegh Vonk. 

Edos has the additional accolade of being invited to take part in the even more challenging Round 2 of the Advanced stage to see if he can get into the top eight nationally and thereby qualify to represent the UK at the International Olympiad later in the year.

Lower School participants who took the Foundation and Intermediate stages will receive their results later in the term.
