Thirty-three boys travelled to the Black Mountains of Wales to complete their Silver Duke of Edinburgh Award expedition.

During one of the hottest weeks this year, they set off early each morning to tackle a demanding route with resilience and determination.

Carrying all their food and equipment for the three-day expedition, they camped amid the stunning Welsh countryside and successfully fulfilled every aspect of the challenge.
