Sporting success and philanthropy

The annual Shaftesbury Lecture featured two sportsmen who spoke about their journeys from major success in rugby to a philanthropic lifestyle.

Nabs Suma, who has played for Wasps, and Serge Betsen, who once represented France, explained how they channelled their success into helping others, in an event entitled 'The Rashford effect - sporting success and philanthropy'.

Shaftesbury Enterprise is Harrow School’s initiative focused on improving the educational outcomes and life opportunities for young people in our neighbourhood particularly for those who face significant barriers to progress.

The annual lecture celebrates the work that the boys have done while reflecting on how they can do more to help others, both now and in the future.
