The Medical and Junior Biology societies welcomed Professor Lord Robert Winston who addressed them on his career in science and the link between science and society.

Bringing in his expertise as a member of the assisted dying select committee and House of Lords, Professor Winston emphasised that science is a collaborative effort, with failure being a major component of success.
