Old Harrovian Sam Northeast hits third highest score in County Championship history

Old Harrovian and Glamorgan cricketeer Sam Northeast (The Head Master's 2003) hit a remarkable 410 for the County Championship, the third highest score in County Championship history.

Northeast's innings also took him beyond Steve James's previous best for Glamorgan, which was 309 not out. Only Brian Lara and fellow Old Harrovian Archie MacLaren (Moretons 1886¹), who hit 424 for Lancashire against Somerset in 1895, have made higher County Championship scores than Northeast.
