National Poetry Day was marked at Harrow with 116 competition entries from boys and staff across the School.

The theme for this year's National Poetry Day was Vision and poems had to be written in twelve words exactly.

The winning entry from a pupil was an emotional response to ageing from Joe McLean:

Grandpa

Colossal giant,

Filled with tales,

Pouring wisdom,

Suddenly, not the same

 

The staff winner was Peter Davison-Reiber.
