Music competitions

The Summer term saw the School's musicians competing for prizes in numerous musical competitions, including the annual Organ Prizes and the Smouha Chamber Music Competition.

The final competition of term was Music Prizes where boys competed for awards covering all forms of instruments, including the Worshipful Company of Musicians (Junior Brass), Campbell Prize for Junior Strings, James Poke Prize for Junior Woodwind, Lucas Prize for Brass, Wallace and Walton Prize for Strings, Stenhouse Prize for Woodwind, Warwick-Smith Prize for Guitar, Lockett Prize for Junior Piano and the Verney Prize for Piano.

Half of boys at Harrow learn instruments and the School has around 60 Music Scholars. Many of the performances take place in Speech Room (pictured). Learn more about Music at Harrow here.
