Leadership and planning for the future
Harrow welcomed pupils from across the Harrow family of schools at this year's Harrow Fifth Form Conference to explore the theme of Leadership and Planning for the Future.
Over the course of the five-day conference, Harrow boys joined delegates from John Lyon School, Harrow International School Hong Kong, Harrow International School Bangkok and Harrow International School Bengaluru to develop their leadership skills not only through discussion and collaboration, but also through meaningful action. Taking responsibility for planning and delivering community projects, pupils worked alongside local organisations to make a positive impact in the Harrow community. Activities included hosting adults with learning disabilities for sports, partnering with London Community Kitchen to prepare meals for local families, and supporting a range of outreach initiatives.
The conference also highlighted the value of learning from experienced leaders and innovators. Delegates were joined by Old Harrovian Amir Amin (Newlands 2003³), who built a successful career in global finance, as well as founding The Padel Loft to bring padel to universities across the UK. Sharing his own experience through education, finance and entrepreneurship, Amir challenged participants to think ambitiously about the future.
Bringing together pupils and alumni from across the Harrow family, the conference celebrated the power of shared experiences, meaningful connections, and lifelong learning, showcasing the unique opportunities that the Harrow family of schools can offer.
