The Palmerston Society welcomed Professor Teresa Bejan, Oriel College, Oxford for a talk on the English philosopher and political theorist, Thomas Hobbes, and Human Rights. 

Professor Bejan first gave a tutorial to the Palmerston secretaries at Newlands on Hobbes, Conservatism, and Free Speech before speaking in the OH Room to a wider audience.
