Fox Talbot Photography Competition

The annual Fox Talbot Photography Competition took place in the Pasmore Gallery and showcased the array of talent across the School.

Named after William Henry Fox Talbot (The Head Master's 18113), an English scientist, inventor and photography pioneer, it is a much anticipated highlight of the Arts Calendar.

We welcomed three judges this year: Clive Barda (OBE), famous for his work with the Royal Opera House, the RSC and the National Theatre; Clare Park (MA RCA), portrait and fine art photographer, whose work has been exhibited at The National Portrait Gallery as well as the V&A Royal Photographic Society Collection; and Genevieve Stevenson, a London based artist with the ability to capture her subjects in a dream like and ethereal way, who has worked with designers such as Halpern, Phoebe English, Ryan Lo, Richard Malobe and many more.

The Junior Winner, whose photograph Evening Sunset is pictured, was St John Smith; the Senior Winner was James Gibbons with Two Faced.
