We welcomed university lecturer Dr John Taylor to adjudicate this year’s top Classics Prizes, the Plumptre Prizes.

Entries from Harrovians included Latin and Greek prose and verse composition, translation, and literary and historical essays. 

The Plumptre Prize is awarded to the best Upper Sixth classicist; other significant awards include the Pember Medal for best Lower Sixth classicist and the Balme Prize for Greek verse composition.
