Choral Society concert
Speech Room reverberated with the sounds of Mendelssohn when Harrow School Choral Society joined with The Choir of Francis Holland School to perform the Symphony No. 2.
They were supported by an orchestra of Harrovians, professional musicians and Old Harrovians and three soloists: Emily Owen, Soprano; Emily Armour, Soprano; and Christopher Willoughby, Tenor.
Mendelssohn's Symphony No. 2 was written for the 1840 Gutenberg Festival in Leipzig to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the invention of printing.
