The Eternal Schoolboy

Boys returned to the Hill for the start of the summer term to be greeted by a new centrepiece in the heart of the School.

The bronze sculpture was commissioned in 2021 as part of the School's 450th anniversary. It is also a commemoration of George Williams (Moretons 20163), who died in 2021 at the age of 18, soon after leaving Harrow.

It was thought fitting that George should celebrated alongside the spirit of every Harrovian who has been, is, or will be, educated at Harrow and expresses the living, purposeful vibrancy of boys' lives at the School.

David Williams-Ellis, one of the UK's leading sculptors, designed and produced the sculpture.
