Digital Archives

The Harrow Association works with the School Archivist to develop Digital Archives of significant Harrow records, to preserve them for future generations and make them available for Old Harrovians and members of the Harrow community to access.

Contact the Harrow Association for access to these sites.

The Harrovian Archive

The Harrovian is a weekly newspaper published by the School during term time, with a history dating back to 1828.

Through The Harrovian Archive, you can explore articles on past events, society meetings, and sports matches, as well as read correspondence, letters, and opinions on School matters spanning nearly 200 years. By providing access to this archive, we hope to help Old Harrovians reconnect with their time on the Hill and learn more about their predecessors.

World War I Memorial Website

This site is dedicated to the Harrovians who fought and died in World War One. The six volumes of the Harrow Memorials of the Great War, along with other archival material related to Harrow School and World War One, are now digitally accessible here for those researching Old Harrovians or the School during the war years.

The Contio Archive

The Contio Latina provides a unique insight into Harrow’s past. Delivered by the Head of School to the Governors in Latin every year, on the second Saturday in November, it reports events of the year at Harrow and in the wider world.

The Classics department collaborates with students to translate the Contio, which are then digitally scanned and stored in a searchable database.

Harrow Families

Build your Harrow family tree.

Harrow Families is a remarkable and unique historical archive and is a testament to the loyalty to Harrow School of over 800 families who have sent their sons to the Hill for several generations and, in some cases, since as far back as the middle of the seventeenth century.
