MaltaToday, 13 December 2018: "Born in 1951 of Maltese descent, Paul Falzon Sant Manduca [(Rendalls 19653)] is a successful entrepreneur who has headed multiple companies throughout his career. He was educated at Harrow School and Hertford College Oxford, and from 1973 to 1988 was a well-known fund manager, managing a number of high-performing funds.
At the age of 38, he became the Executive Chairman of the renowned Touche Remnant, an investment trust management company. Falzon Sant Manduca was also appointed chairman of the Investment Trust Association - its youngest Chair ever - and also member of the Takeover Panel, which was later merged with the Henderson Global Investors Group in 1992.
In 1994, he was appointed founding CEO of Threadneedle Asset Management, and at the same time became a director of Threadneedle’s sister insurance companies Eagle Star and Allied Dunbar. In 1999 following the takeover of the businesses by Zurich Insurance, he was appointed Global CEO of Rothschild Asset
In 2010, he became Senior Independent at Prudential Group and was appointed Chairman in 2012. He has also been the Chairman of the City UK Advisory Council since 2016, and was appointed Chairman of Templeton Emerging Markets Investment Trust plc (2015) and RateSetter (2017). Paul Falzon Sant Manduca oversees Prudential’s CSR activities, which involve giving some 25 million to charities globally.
Paul Falzon Sant Manduca was an advisor to the Government of Malta prior to EU entry, and promoted the Rothschild Bank of Valletta plc Joint Venture Scheme, when he was a Board member and Global CEO of Rothschild Asset Management."
On Malta's Republic Day in 2018, Falzon Sant Manduca was one of 12 Members appointed to The National Order of Merit during an investiture ceremony.
