Climbing World Schools Championship

Harrovian brothers Otto and Hugo Heffer (Elmfield) were part of a small team that represented both Harrow and England in the first-ever Climbing World Schools Championship this year.

Held over seven days in May, in Aubenas, France, the event was organised by the French School Sport Union. 68 athletes aged 15 to 18 took part, representing nine different countries: Cote d'Ivoire, Singapore, Afghanistan, China, England, France, Nepal, Spain and Ukraine. Participants were organised into 17 mixed teams of two boys and two girls.

The Harrovians partnered with girls from Westminster School and, together, the team finished third overall. Congratulations to Hugo Heffer, who came third in the individual male category.
