Athletics 2018

Nearly 100 boys represented the school competitively during the season. 31 went to the County Championships (of whom 4 won gold medals) and 7 have been invited to represent Middlesex at the ESAA Championships in July.

The Senior 4 x 800m relay team won gold at the Achilles relays for the third year in a row and a highlight was the regaining of the Guy Butler Shield by a margin of 71 points (Guy Butler OH, won silver behind Eric Liddell in the 1924 Olympics).

Three records were broken: the U17 shot put (13.65m), the U15 100m (11.1s) and 200m (22.39s). One boy is also the National indoor champion at 60m and 200m in the U15 age group.
