Town Hall with President Obama
Harrow was invited to send five boys to the Town Hall held by President Barack Obama on Saturday 23 April at Lindley Hall in central London. The US Ambassador, His Excellency Mr Matthew Barzun, began the proceedings, followed by a speaker from Young Leaders of the United Kingdom (YLUK), which is sponsored by the US Embassy to interest Sixth Form students in politics. President Barack Obama then gave a short speech before opening the floor to questions. These ranged from the Northern Ireland peace process and racial profiling at American airport security to what President Obama saw as his legacy. His list included the Iranian nuclear deal, the thaw in Cuban-American relations and health care reforms.

During his visit to the UK, the President also played a game of golf with Prime Minister David Cameron at The Grove, a luxury hotel, spa and golf resort owned by Old Harrovians Daniel and Stuart Levy.
