Harrow School won the National Independent Schools Judo Championship for the first time since 1999. The Junior boys fought magnificently with Gold medals being won by Nikita Ponomarenko and Angus Edwards and a Bronze going to Alex Skorobogatko. The Intermediate group all fought hard but medals only came for Will Yoon who won three out of four to gain a Bronze and the brilliant Josh Stephens who won all his fights to take a Gold. In the Seniors, Peter Hedley displayed a range of throws and strangles that his opponents simply could not match, winning all his fights to take a Gold. The Harrow team captain, Fraser Barr and vice-captain Jeremy Ogilvie-Harris fought a series of simply awesome fights to meet each other in the Final. They both deserved the Gold but Fraser took it with a hold down.
