Visiting the School

Open Mornings

Attending an Open Morning is a great way to learn about the School and any parents considering Harrow for their son should attend one. If the dates below are not convenient then you can arrange a private visit. During the Morning, a group of 30-40 parents and children gather for an informal tour of the School during a normal working day. The tour lasts from 10am to 12.45pm and normally includes a talk given by the Head Master, a boy-guided visit to a boarding house and a chance to meet a House Master.

Private visits

These are possible throughout the year, whenever is convenient for you. You can come with or without your son, and you can have a tour and meet the Registrar. If possible, we will arrange for you to meet the Head Master, although he is sometimes teaching or at a meeting outside Harrow. Meeting one or more House Masters is sometimes possible, especially if you request this or your son is already aged 10. A private visit usually lasts two to three hours.

To book your private visit, please contact the Admissions Secretary on 020 8872 8007 or by email on webadmissions@harrowschool.org.uk.

Other ways of visiting Harrow School

Arrange to come and meet a House Master by contacting him directly. If you know which boarding house you wish your son to join, you may be able to arrange to see the House Master of that House privately.

Come to a concert, play or sports match. For events which need tickets (all plays, some concerts) contact the Admissions Secretary, but otherwise, just turn up. For details of events and sports fixtures at Harrow, search the School Calendar.
