Leavers Campaign 2020

Every year the Harrow Development Trust invites the Upper Sixth, sponsored by their parents, to participate in the Leavers' Campaign. The aim of this initiative is to introduce each leaver to the ethos of philanthropy and continuing a long-standing tradition of giving back at Harrow. It is also an opportunity for the year group to signal their collective support for the School and for those Harrovians who will follow in their footsteps.

In recent years this has become an increasingly popular initiative, drawing on the participation of each leaving cohort, to support the School’s bursary programme, projects in their House, and larger projects across the School estate.

All funds raised from this year’s campaign will be directed towards a new bursary scheme, Churchill Places, to be launched in September 2020 as part of the School’s 450th anniversary celebrations. This scheme will provide a life-changing Harrow education to boys requiring substantial financial assistance, who demonstrate the characteristics of personal courage, wide-ranging thinking and a global outlook.

Leavers’ are invited to contribute from as little as £1 month, and in doing so, become a valued benefactor to Harrow.

We hope that many of you will choose to participate in the campaign this year, which will help towards funding the very first Churchill Places beneficiary at Harrow.

Participating in the Leavers' Campaign gives me the opportunity to repay the generosity that I benefited enormously from and I take great pleasure in the fact that such campaigns mean life-changing opportunities are still afforded to so many."
