Students from St Dominic's Sixth Form College (our local college) study Latin and Greek A-levels and Oxbridge entry Mathematics at Harrow School without charge.
Every year since 2001 the School has organised a week-long Summer School for 60-70 gifted and talented children from local state schools. We run this at no profit.
In 2009-10 we are mentoring difficult pupils from Sudbury Primary School.
We are part of the Changing Towards Excellence initiative (The North London Partnership, now renamed the Harrow Partnership under Sir John Rowling), working with state schools in north London (Highlands Enfield, Park High Stanmore, Canons High, Salvatorian, Sacred Heart Wealdstone, Harrow High, Rooks Heath, Whitmore, Bentley Wood, Nower Hill) and John Lyon and St Helen’s Northwood to create further opportunities for staff and pupils in our schools.
In 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 we organised masterclasses in sculpture, canoeing, pottery or fives for pupils from state schools in the consortium.
In 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 UCAS we organised UCAS application advice for local state schools who have recently started Sixth Forms.
In 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 we organised and hosted four days of workshops for local Year 11 children to help them cross the GCSE A/A* and C/D grade boundaries.
In 2008-9 forty-four teachers from local state schools came to observe A-level teaching at Harrow.
The School manages a major new athletics training centre on a recently constructed facility for use by local state schools. We provide the facility, the organisation and some of the coaching. Each year the Harrow Borough Athletics Championships are held at Harrow. Schools using the track include Harrow High, Whitmore High, Vaughan First and Middle, Canons High, John Lyon School. The following schools are involved in élite athletics coaching at the School: Park High, Sacred Heart, Whitmore High, Bentley Wood, Hatch End, Roxeth First and Middle, Longfield, Pinner Park, Belmont and Marlborough.
St Anselm’s Primary School website is hosted on our server and was constructed by our staff.
The School has collaborated on the development of IT systems with Harrow High School, Ninestiles School (Birmingham), St John’s Beaumont School and Orley Farm School.
We support the Cricket Foundation (English Cricket Board) in its work to help state schools develop their cricket. We provide local state schools with access to playing facilities.
We offer work experience to pupils from local schools.
Harrow School boys have helped with a reading programme, sports, IT and art projects at two local primary schools: Roxeth First and Middle School.
In 2009 we started a Cadet Partnership with Harrow High whereby we train their staff and pupils.
Every year the girls from St Margaret’s Bushey attend our weekly Year 12 PSHE lectures.
