Riding

Riding takes place as a regular activity during the winter timetable (from the second half of the Autumn term to the end of the Spring term) on Wednesday afternoons.

The Household Cavalry allows us to use their facilities at Combermere Barracks, Windsor, and the afternoon includes tacking up and grooming, as well as instruction from one of the Cavalry’s riding instructors.

Riding at Harrow takes place under the auspices of the Harrow Rifle Corps (the School’s CCF), although riders need not necessarily be members of it.

The School also enters a team in the Royal Windsor Horse Show and other events during the year. There are also opportunities for boys to represent the School at polo.
