The Pigou Society, named after the famous Old Harrovian economist AC Pigou (Mr Marshall’s 18913), is Harrow’s Economics and Business Studies society.
It attracts high-profile speakers from the worlds of economics, business and finance, and gives boys the opportunity to engage in discussion with experts in these fields.
Previous speakers have included Michael Heseltine (former Deputy Prime Minister), Patrick Minford (leading free market economist), and Ian McCafferty (Chief Economic Advisor to the CBI).
The Society convenes two or three times a term, and, while the meetings are likely to appeal primarily to sixth formers studying Economics or Business Studies, anyone in the School community is welcome to attend.
